What is Rezzcard?

A.

Rezzcard is a rent payment service that enables tenants to pay their rent electronically either in cash at a walk-in payment location or over the Internet using computer or mobile app or by call 1-800-342-7374. Rezzcard payment options include cash paid through any authorized Rezzcard payment center, Visa® or MasterCard® branded credit cards or debit cards, payments drawn directly from a bank account through the ACH network, and Akimbo Rezzcard Prepaid MasterCard.

What are the fees for using Rezzcard rent payment service?

A.

There is typically a convenience fee charged by either Rezzcard or the Rezzcard payment center for each payment submitted through the service. The fee is always disclosed prior to making your payment on the website payment screen, smartphone app, calling 1-800-342-7374, or at an authorized Rezzcard payment center. The fee will always be displayed on the receipt, email or text confirmation, or web screen confirmation. This fee is in addition to the amount of rent you are paying. For example if the rent paid is $100.00 and the fee is $2.00 the total paid is $102.00.

Rezzcard is not responsible for any additional fees charged by your property manager, bank, debit card or credit card issuer.

How do I get a Rezzcard rent payment account?

A.

Currently, you can only sign up for a Rezzcard rent payment account if your building or property manager already offers the Rezzcard rent payment service. You can check our website (www.rezzcard.com) or call to see if your building accepts Rezzcard. If it does, your property manager or owner will issue you a card with your Rezzcard rent payment account number. Each tenant will have a card with their own unique Rezzcard rent payment account number. If you lose the card or need a replacement card, you should contact your property manager immediately. If your building is not yet signed up to offer the Rezzcard rent payment service, please contact your property manager and tell them you would like to explore the possibility of adding the Rezzcard rent payment service. Alternatively, you may email us the name of the building, and we can contact them about offering Rezzcard.

Do I have to register to use Rezzcard rent payment services?

A.

No, once you have received your card with the Rezzcard payment account number, you can immediately make a rent payment at any authorized Rezzcard payment center or by calling 1-800-342-7374. However to make a payment on the web with your computer or smartphone app, you will need to register your Rezzcard payment account number and setup a username or password.

Does the Property Manager or Owner receive a confirmation that a payment has been submitted?

A.

For each payment submitted using the Rezzcard rent payment service, the property manager will receive a confirmation of the amount paid and the date of payment the next business day no later than 9am EST. Each night after midnight, Rezzcard will provide the property manager with a report of all tenant payments made that day. Our agreement with your property manager requires that your payment will be posted the next business day.

How do I know the system is secure?

A.

All transactions made with the Rezzcard payment service are secure. Our site uses industry-standard 128-bit encrypted Secure Socket layer (SSL) technology so all communication between your browser and our website is secure. Your sensitive information remains private and accessible only to you through your password-protected account. Normally, when browsing the web, the URLs (web page addresses) begin with the letters "http".  However, over a secure connection such as the one Rezzcard provides, the address displayed should begin with "https" - note the "s" at the end. We never send or request your bank account information through email. Sensitive data is encrypted using strong encryption approved by the U.S. government, which is the industry standard in the financial industry for data protection.

How does the withdrawal from my checking account work?

A.

Rezzcard utilizes the ACH network governed by the NACHA rules and the Federal Reserve Bank. The funds are directly debited form your bank account upon providing us the proper electronic authorization and then transferred over night to the depository bank of your building property manager or owner.

How do I make a rent payment with my Akimbo Rezzcard?

A.

First, you must successfully enroll for an Akimbo Rezzcard by visiting https://www.rezzcard.com/akimbo. Once you receive your Akimbo Rezzcard, you must activate it and set a PIN by logging into your account at www.akimbocard.com/login. Then, load your Akimbo Rezzcard with direct deposit, a linked bank account, cash and approved check. Once you have funds available on your Akimbo Rezzcard, you may use it to make your rent payment on the Rezzcard online rent payment service. With Direct Withdrawal, what if a payment fails because of Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)?

A.

If a payment is made with the Rezzcard payment service from your bank account with the ACH payment method and fails because of Non-Sufficient Funds, your payment will be reversed and you will be in arrears with your rent payment. Your property manager may also charge you an NSF fee and/or a late fee for the failed transaction.

Can I request a Payment Refund or Cancel My Payment?

A.

Once your payment has been approved and processed by the Rezzcard Rent Payment Service it cannot be canceled or returned. If you accidentally made a duplicate payment or were charged twice, please contact your property management company.

Where can I access the Akimbo Rezzcard cardholder agreement and bank privacy policy?

A.

You may access your Akimbo Rezzcard cardholder agreement here (https://akimbocard.com/cardholder-agreement) and the Sunrise Banks privacy policy here (https://akimbocard.com/privacy-policy). The Akimbo Rezzcard Prepaid MasterCard is issued by Sunrise Banks N.A., St. Paul, MN 55103, Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from MasterCard International Incorporated. This card may be used everywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted. Use of this card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions stated in the Cardholder Agreement.
